Arriving by train

Arriving by train We encourage our visitors to use public transport as much as possible. If you come from Brussels, you can take a direct train to Marloie (direction Luxembourg). The train journey takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. From Liège, there is a direct train to Marche-en-Famenne, which takes about 1 hour. From Marloie or Marche-en-Famenne, Chamai is a 20-minute drive away. During the workshops, we organize transport for the whole group or organize carpooling amongst participants.

We can also drive you separately to the station of Marche or Marloie or pick you up, but would then ask a contribution of 0,9 euro/km to cover the costs of driving.

By bus or hitchhiking

There is a bus from Marloie’s train station to Hodister only three times a day. You can check time tables on info tec on line 15 La Roche – Marche. You can also easily hitchhike from the station of Marche-en-Famenne. If you walk away from the train station, 20 minutes up the road, you will come to a crossroads (you can also hitchhike this bit if you prefer). Take the direction of the road towards La Roche. Ask people traveling to La Roche to drop you off at the crossroads Quatres bras de Gènes, if they prefer not to drive you directly to the village of Hodister.

From the crossroads of Gênes you can walk to the center of the village in about 20 minutes. If necessary, you can also be picked up at the crossroads of Quatres Bras de Genes.

A taxi from the station in Marloie costs about 40 euro.
